Many people are looking for professional wedding photographers to find that great picture and style that they want for their wedding,  the Internet being a great source of information allows people to find the photographer quickly and easy  with a few button presses and a click of a mouse.

But are YOU getting the REAL DEAL?

We all know that you can see images on the web and photographers are just some of the people that place images on-line for all to see, but sadly there are people out their that will steal the images, print them and break the law in so many ways, its outrageous.
One of the growing problems with the professional photography business  is that every dog and its flea’s are trying to get in on the acts and marketing themselves as “Professional Photographer”. This has really been noticeable  since the point and shoot cameras looked more like professional cameras and Auto became the new big thing.

You will be happy to know that anyone can be a professional photographer, sell or even get someone request your image and your a professional!  So Everyone who has tagged a photo  on Face book is saying the photographer is a Professional!  According to trading standard there is nothing wrong with this and so they can advertise as a professional and its happening more and more.

Well you may be thinking  that OK a pro photographer is costly,  and these none professional wedding photographer have some great pictures.. Right??  Well read on..

Since the recession kicked in, I have had people asking if they can come work for me, and I ask them what have they been doing, one replay was working in a meat processing factor for the last ten years, but I’m really good at photography he proclaimed.  More than one said they had  been doing some shadowing (which means he’s followed a professional around).

So what you may be seeing is Photo’s which were set up by a professional and then the shadow got a snap.

Because we (this site and others) are highly rated in terms of searches for photographers and even images, I have been looking at the servers log file to see whats been happening. The server log will tell me how long you were on the site, what you did when you were here and a few other things about you and your visit. What it also tells me is the amount of photographs that are being either Hot-linked ( this mean they are feeding you my images on their sites) they are being downloaded and reproduced for there websites  to be passed off as their own work!

You can see how this hot linking works,  if you right click the image on the top of this post and select properties, as you will see there is a web address (Grafixphoto)which doesn’t match this address (GTWCMT)  and this is ow they hot link images, though there is little stopping them from doing screen print and then editing the image up and showing it and loading it from their own website.

I have noticed a increase in the amount of hunting for images, and also people looking for stock wedding photo’s I would assume that this is to put these on their websites to market themselves?

So the final word is Watch out there are scam photographers about; what you see isn’t what you may get.
