Pre shoot.

It quite off putting when you may only meet the photographer for the first time at your wedding and many people just don't like having their photography taken regardless of who the photogrpaher is and even when its their wedding.
I would say that this would disccribe 95% of my clients who go on to select the relaxed style of photography, which is evident within my work shown in the galleries. The ideal situation is where you are on good terms with me and very relaxed, like best friends so to speak to be relaxed and enjoy having your photo taken.
Being relaxed is just one part of the pershoot. The other part is to show you some poses for the camera that show off your 'best side', This reaps rewards on the actual wedding day as you are not having to be posed on the day freeing more time up on the wedding day.

The pre shoot is normally mixed with the final meeting prior to the wedding day, it may be mixed with the wedding rehearsal to truly follow the day as it would be 'on the day'.
The idea is to review the ideas for where the photographs which are taken, how they are taken and the layout of the photographs. By layout I mean the styled photography, this is quite hard to sum up in words so here are some pictures from a wedding which had a pre shoot.

This image was pre- selected as a final image that they would like from the pre shoot. We had walked around the wedding venue (Clearwell castle) taking in the views and scenery that they would like to include in the photography to be taken and the poses that they would like use on the day.

After the pre shoot a disc was given to the couple so that they could review the photography and make the selection of where the photographs were taken on the wedding day.

On the wedding day both of my clients knew what photography they would like and how to pose making the photography both quick and simple delivering the right results that they wanted.

The other benefits from a pre shoot is that I know what you like and how you are to work with, making the wedding day less of a discovery for me and having to work more with you on the day which tends to prolong the photography and take you away from your guests and 'fun' that you should be having on your wedding day.

The other benefit is that you become more relaxed and and feel more free to talk to me. Odd as it may seam, on the wedding day brides and grooms feel that they should leave it all up to me, where as I do like to give you want you want. Without the vital communications or insight things may go wrong if I shoot different to how you want or expect.

Fashion styling your photography with the advanced pre shoot addition to your wedding.
I know that many brides look at the wedding magazines and want the photography style that shows off the best of the wedding and the details. As an ex model myself it is quite simple to organise the boys into pose that looks natural and relaxed while delivering quality photographs. There is no need to say that trying to work with someone on the actual wedding day is impossible due to the actual wedding environmentand strict time limits between events.
For the ladies I offer an equal service in the advanced pre shoot addition to allow you to be shown by an international wedding model, you may have seen her in many of the wedding magazines and in other publications throughout the world. Tammy will work with you to show you how best to pose and make the most of our time together on the day.

As you may gather, this is training and on your wedding day can pay dividends to the final results giving you exceptional results. I had designed this as an additional add on for the packages.

The basic pre shoot package:
Talk about the wedding photography, review locations and backgrounds where the photographs will be taken. Try out some basic poses for your wedding day and chat about your wedding in general. You then receive a disc to review the photographs taken on the day and chat to me about what you did like and what you did not.

Advanced pre shoot package:
All of the above from the basic package with the addition of; Meeting to review wedding images that you have seen and liked. A training session with both Tammy and myself to go into poses and posture for your wedding photography with your wedding party.

The duration of the pre shoots can differ, the basic pre shoot is around 1.5 hours where as the advanced is around 4 hours. Pricing for the advanced pre shoot addition is located in the build your own wedding photography page.

The advanced pre shoot addition is subject to availability but I would recommend both the basic and advanced additions to your wedding package to complete the day. I do not recommend that you take this addition if you are selecting the funky wedding photography package. Or wish to purchase a Graphistudio wedding book.
