Goggle has been a pain with diverting visitors to the wrong websites as it cannot take instructions and tries to do its best which is in fact the worst thing possible. Last year Rory Shut down his old wedding photography website on the GTWCMT domain and replaced the site with a NEW wedding photography website based on his National photographer personal website.
Along with City photography and Gloucester city photography in particular.. and for some time wedding elegance by national photographer were all pointing to the old wedding photography website, dispute the website all having different services and different domains. We tried to resolve this issue several times with goggle, but have not been able to correct googles constant mistakes.
For the most part visitors to the site not using the correct link, will be directed to a landing page which will offer them a choice of website to go to: these being; the new old site, wedding elegance, and Gloucester city photography as well as the two versions of Rory’s new wedding photography websites. By simply selecting the area of interest or the correct website the user can then navigate to the correct website.

The old website which it is now called was decommissioned for a few reasons and these were due to a massive website with over 50,000 wedding photos in previews and galleries, several pages relating all information about wedding photography, styles and just about everything you could possibly imagine. The site had grown over 6 years and was starting to get unmanageable.
The website was taken off line, and then slimed down to a five page website which simply offered a set package for hire. The wedding albums were restricted to one wedding album and then the client would purchase each image from the photography taken of their wedding.
Getting married 50+ years ago was very different than today where the bride would go to the studio of the photographer for a few bride and groom portraits, the launch of the portable camera still did not see the wedding photos that are expected of the brides and grooms today as they simply were not possible.
In more recent times, there was always the film camera and the digital camera, where the photographer would have been limited or limited the service to how many rolls of film, and despite the 35mm 24-30 frame capture, the real professionals used 110 and 120 film to capture the moments and these were 12 frames per roll.
Today’s photographers with digital cameras may seem to have it easy, but thats not really the case, but this post is nothing about how wedding photography has changed.. its about the brides..
Todays Bride wants something a little different that a studio portrait and a few photos of ‘the groups’ in-fact the bride now has become centre stage with her requests from her photographer or photographers.

Bridal boudoir became popular in the UK around 3 years ago, it was the ‘done thing’ in the states and filtered through to the UK, in part the reason for this being that ladies were looking for some thing a little different for themselves and then for their boyfriends when it came to portrait photography. The next natural step was of course the bridal boudoir photo shoot. This became a celebrity show piece and the wedding magazines picked up this growing trend and the rest as they say is history.
