| Psy4 computer systems website The website is underway as planned, and there is only a small bit of information that needs to go on to the website so that its ready. While we used to build off the shelf system as will still do but very very limted. We will be building custom systems. Dispite the scum at avon metals ordering one custom server to their budget and then turning around and saying that the exsact system they had ordered was not the server they ordered which lead to the 18 month court room play offs. well Im not bitter! lol So we will rewrite the contract on custom built systems although we were safe guarded before hand for clients that ordered systems that were not the absolute best option for them so that we dont get sued. AKA, if we dont think its right we're not building it and thats final. So. New website will be up sortly. you can either buy custom built; which is where we put it all together and give you some advice on the hardware to use. Or you can buy tower units and other bits and bobs. I have been looking at the TFT screen systems that are all in one (27") which I think may appeal to certain people, whoever this will be a desktop system and not suitable for gamers. or anyone that really requires a faster system. This is due to the space and fittings for the extras such as a few gig of ram and additional hard drives.. We should have the website up in about 3 weeks, Im in no rush. |

| The credit crunch We do suspect that we may be doing more trade with businesses that are trying to save money, surprisingly we havent seen that many. But then businesses dont tend to bother to want to save money as they are quite happy doing business until the economic state that we are not in effects them.. The problem with many businesses is credit, either giving it or using it. GTWCMT has never had credit account nor allows its clients to have credit accounts, this means we are not at fault for debts like other businesses and makes GTWCMT a highly stable business. Our business services offer a wide range of services to many sectors, with key advice. We are only waiting for businesses to catch up with us and as you may think that there are many companies like us, you would be very mistaken. We are around 12 years ahead of most businesses. We have found that in IT matters we are around 5 years ahead. In all other matters we are around 3 years ahead. A recent court case where so called experts gave evidence aganist us we could see clearly that businesses were far behind the technology curve in providing services. In our eyes its down right professional neglegence. | Wedding photography by Rory Witham Reviewed Rorys wedding Photography is under review after two complaints this year following weddings that were undertaken. Rory's Wedding Photography website has been around for a little over 5 years and has up to now had a spotless record on zero complaints. The problems that are being rasied by clients is quite a simple one. The website has grown and although there is information on the website, client lack to reviewing all the critical details is aparent. Both complaints surround the digital negatives, though from two different points of view. This first point was the time of booking. A client viewed the website and then did not book until a full seven months later when the packages had changed several months before he actually booked. The second complaint was regarding the selection of images (prints) and the selection of the digital negatives. - Altought the clients are now adimant that they were told that they could select their digital negatives which as we know is against the policy. Never the less client clearly are not reading the terms and conditions that offer then some protection. Clients booking a wedding photographer may think that they are covered by teh sales of goods act, this isnt the whole case with photography as it is a bespoke service. In order to avoid this type of problem the booking forms have been updated to ensure that the clients have read the terms (contract) and have read the FAQ section as clearly telling them to read these before contacting Rory's wedding photography services is clearly not enough. Paticularly effected is clients that are in a rush booking their photographer late. While I do offer up to 4 weeks notice, it is important that clients have time to cool off ( this is one of the sales of goods act protection - we must allow 7 days to cool off under the distant sales regulations) It is also worth noting that while a deposit is refundable a booking fee is not. the reason behind this may not be simple for some people, but as you can imaging Rory often has 3 calls on one day to book a wedding and turning away business for another client to back out at the last minute is already a loss. Another CLEAR Problem is that clients dont get in contact before the wedding. The terms and conditions state this and there is a simple reason.. if we lose all the data, we can still be contacted by the client in order to go to the wedding. a few clients have actually contact Rory two weeks or so before the wedding to make sure hes still alive! The wedding photography website will be having a full update shortly leading in for the new clients next year. The terms and conditions will be altered, the contacts page will be altered. the package will be altered and the prices. Rory is happy with the layout of the website and this will remain the same. |
| Wedding Photography Training As some may know, we have a photography training bussiness. - the GT of GTWCMT is Gloucester training one fo the founding Businesses of Rory Witham. This year we will ((well I will)) be looking at wedding Photography and re training myself for a new look and different type of photography in weddings. I will therefore be allowing Photographers with good exsperience ! to come along and train with me with . The outline of the training package will be to learn along with me in more fine art style and Arty wedding photography. It would be Ideal if you are a wedding photographer that needs to think outside of the box, be more creative and offer better photography. The course will follow the lines of just the photography, Lighting, poses, creativity, different angles, use of buildings etc.. using the camera more creatively.. | NEW - Wedding Photography By Rory Witham site coming soon The website for Wedding Photography by Rory Witham will be renewed later this year. with some client prasing the content of the site that they find informative, other seem to find the site confusing with far to much choice. In order to help client, we will be trying to condence the site which will have the same layout but smaller and updated from some of the pages that have been the same for many years. We have had some issues with clients not reading the contract that is on the website and this has caused a number of complaints and breaches made by the clients within the contract. There will be a remake of the packages and what they include as the packages are down grades and simpler that the National Photographer wedding elegance photography service and a more clear distink line between the two needs to be forged. as one service is working to a budget and the other is not and comes therefore with more frills for the bride and grooms wedding photography. The new site will take some time to complete and will be done off line and then hopfully loaded by January to the site and running. |

| Bankruptcy 11-09-08 Some clients may have been made aware of the court action that was passed in January of this year. Due to a clear and UNLAWFUL Judgement that was made by Recorder Coleman the defence hadwon the costs dispite me winning the claim. as we know wedding season so no work was undertaken to appeal the judgement at the time so the company Avon metals Limited could be chaced for the 10,000 GBP debt and 17,500 in costs. An Apeal has been launched but currently all company assests are frozen meaning payments can not be acepted at this time until a stay is awarded by the court. | National Photographer Update We have now reached the 75% completeion stage of the new national photographer website. The website is ust being finished and we will be linking the directory database with the new website so that they all work together. Some of the finer points will be fixed/completed once the website is online. The Website covers the complete of the UK divided into 48 sectors, and 8 subjects of photography. The website totals around 401 pages exluding the database driven website which is a mear 82 pages (excludes batabase). While the website may seem large compaired to certain photography sites, we have not included the CRM system, or the private pages which are yet to be designed but certainly nationalphotographer is not an ordinary website. Due to a closure for our holiday, the new websites launch maybe withheld untill we return to work so that any bugs in the systems can be worked out while the site is live. | The national Photographer website The national photographer website is undergoing a whole new face lift and its coming along nicely. The website has a new look and layout and it will have more funtions for clients and photographers. We're about 40% through the development of the website but there is still along way to go as the website has another 3 sections to be completed which are really three seperate websites. The directory - database l The Photographer Forum | The Customer relationship management system. These are a little bit quicker that the base website. The national Photographer website will be something new due to the way it allows photographers to add their details to a directory. be members, chat in forums, advertise on the website, enter photography competitions and book with clients. It could be terms as: a stock photography sales, photographer website and info site, Photographer agency, and photographer directory. | The Two pound Wedding Photography Package Some time ago a few friends and I took a look at our shopping bills and found that we would normally have items equal to the cost of the items meaning that everything we bought cost one pound. So in the spirt of this, a 2 pound wedding photographer service has evolved. The two pounds wedding photography service offers everything at two pounds each, it may seem like a good deal, but for some clients it wont be. there are heavy charges if the wedding is not booked a full year in advance, This is becoming an issue with many clients who are leaving booking to the last minute. as in a week or so before the wedding! while this sounds shocking, this year 3 clients have tried to book within a month of there wedding.. thats 365 (- 30) X 2 if they were to book this two pound package. The galleries are charged at 2 pounds per day. while that may not seem a great deal, most clients are now taking around 3 months to order their images - 94 days.. but then from our point of view we are hanging around waiting for the orders to come in, so is a just charge. It would seem that this package rewards clients that book in advance and order quickly.. and these are the clients that we want! A low cost wedding package that takes 6 months to resolve is not cost effective and leads to price rises as the saying goes.. time is money! | SEO - SEM Getting your website online is one thing, getting peole to it is anohter and the findal part is getting the ranks on the search engines! When GTWCMT first went online many years ago, we shot to the number one spot for most search engines worldwide. We manged to push new pages to a number one rank in 24 hours! and our confidence was big and backed up with asking clinets to challenge us to put a product or service online and make it rank within 36 hours. - We got these everytime which is why GTWCMT was talked about so much in SEO circles. Over the past few years search engines have changed in the way in which they present websites ranking and how they score in the rankings. " its all a ever changing enviroment with fundemental flaws" says Rory Witham. One of the problems in that the rank system in part works by looking at the websites that link to your site and if they are relivant. In the real word that would mean putting links on compeditors websites, as these would be. If you sold toilet paper, then you would need links from toilet, bathroom and paper sites to give your website a good ranking. Good places to start are forums and blog sites as you will see many of these blogs have sprang up that are a small bit of text followed by links that are normally deadends or some type of phising / spamming /ad farm sites. as most search engines are aware of this, we could see yet another way in which search engines rank your website. We have taken the long task of SEO'ing the GTWCMT Group websites, in 48 hours we have seen around a 80% increase in the ranking on search engines, some links that were #7 are now #1 some that were #30 are now #4 Generally we're pleased with the number of #1 positions that we hold golbally. "Even before we start website designing, SEM and SEO work for clients, we need to makesure that our own websites are in the first 4 search results" said Rory Witham CEO of GTWCMT. There is no point in selling services when your own sites are not hitting the mark. | The lottery As we all know, the lottery goes on twice a week and many people put on around five pounds to try and win something.. they seldom do, but I have an idea..... My idea is like a lottery, but as I dont have a gambling licence it can be a gamble. so I should call it the money pool. its not really a game and you get to win a lot less. but the return is pretty good. Take for example 1000 people and get them to put in one pound per week to win one thousand pounds. sounds simple enought? If you run this picking winners each week for a year, each person has a 1 in 19.23 chance of grabbing the grand. but thats running it for a year, typically if you made it so that people buy a year at fifty-two pounds per year, then there will be 52 happy people, but then if you run the 'game' for 19 years and 6 months, everyone wins. but that would mean that everyone would have each put in 1000 pounds to win 1000 pounds. That turns into some type of investment or savings for those who cant help themselves but to spend money. The better option would be to run the 'game' for a year and you would give away 52000 pounds in prizes, to 52 people which has cost them 52 pounds. For the person playing the odds are very good for winning. but this is just an idea. You would need to ensure that everyone played for the year, so it may be a good idea to take advanced payment for the whole year in one go.. might work. but then look at the people who bet on the lottery, a small amount each week and they dont take into account what they actually spend over the year. even the 1 pound once a week player pays out 52 pounds, the twice a week is 104 pounds. The 5 pounds twice a week player, gives the lottery 520 pounds each year. Consider the win's which I would guess are 50 pounds a year, then consider the odd's of winning something big. Limited players, lower win, everyones happy?? I may try a small trial run as its simple maths. Then I may run with it as a business. Yes businesses have to turn a profit. but think, if your not a money grabber, you can get interest on the account that the money is in, Granted its not a lot, but it's something. |

| Internet speed issues Currently we are exsperiencing some speed issues, We have carried out some testing over the past 24 hours and while the initial problems that showed its self (exchange bottle necking) we have some power back in the out connection. We are still running at a 24th of our normal speed and hope to have this resolved by the end of today. Data Back up customers have been informed as to the details of the redundant server services. | The battle Begins - again GTWCMT offers many services in many different areas, and while many business will only tell the good stories; we believe in telling the true full story. In 2005 Avon Metals Contacted GTWCMT website design services and later for maintenance. Shortly after probelms exsited with there server and it was replaced. 6 months after the server was installed, Avonmetals declared that the server was not a server and refused to pay thir debt. Under the advisement of no less that 8 IT skilled person, confirmed that indeed the server GTWCMT had sold avonmetals was infact a server. GTWCMT promptly issued Avon Metals with a Dispute form and this form was never returned to GTWCMT. As clients should know, if you have a complaint we will look at it honestly and take indepandants advice on the matter in hand. We also do not charge you interest on the debt or remove the discounts. As you can imagine, the costs grew while Avon metals formulated excuses on why they didnt pay for other contracted services, and also did not supply GTWCMT with a withholding notice. The expert reports. Avon Metals Ltd, used two computer companies: Charlton Networks and Smart computers to make the reports for the court. Richard Perry the CEO of Charlton network was in court as a witness and current supplier to Avon Metals. Mr Perry made the admission in court that, he had made the report from the defendants statements to him and that they are disclaimed and did not check the information provided in his report was accurate. Secondly, Mr Perry added that the server was not of an industry standard, yet the software used was of a industry standard. Mr Potts of Smart Computers, made his report which was vacant of facts along with quite a few mistakes. One of the glaring mistakes made by Mr Potts was the facts of backing up data on a DVD drive, Mr Potts in his report stated that Back up on to DVD disc could only be 4.7 Gigabytes of data. he was quick to correct this after GTWCMT showed him considerabe evidence of his mistake. Oddly, Mr Potts also claimed to have made his inspection of the service supplied in Febuary, which interestingly was a full 3 months before the server was supplied. The courts Findings. In this case the claim for monies owed to GTWCMT was found in favour of GTWCMT for the maintenance of the network and server. However, the costs were awarded to Avon metals due to them purchasing a new server from Charlton Networks. costing 4 times More that the server provided by GTWCMT. IMO - Charlton networks I find pretty accurate in the information provided, however, To generate a report based on persons who had no IT background and asumptions is a poor move. This could lead to misinformation being provided to their clients. In any event, it would be important to fully validate the information that is provided, and in this case it was not carried out. Avon Metals could have avoided the purchase of new server with a simple cost effect upgrade to the server (as they did not select this on the inital order) which would have cost 700 pounds (almost nines times less than Charltons suggestion) For what ever reason, the conduct of the business relationship was NOT handled in a professional manner with a morral ground. Smart computers is a bit of a joke, The Report of MR Potts was circulated to a number of IT professional around the world who drew great entertainment from his report. Clearly Mr Potts is way out of his debt in matters such as these. I can tottally NOT recommend Smart computers for any persons or business IT needs. You see a lot of people who work in IT class themselves as experts, but truely in computers and IT there can be no experts as the remit is so vast. Mr Potts falls dramtically short by making himself sound better and trying to use complex terms to confuse people, but in the eyes of other qualified IT consultants and experts looks quite the fool. Recorder Coleman handled the case at Gloucester County court in January 2008 on a trial that lasted around a week. he commented on how things were not simple and straight forward and confusing. From My understanding of the law, the case should have been heard by the Technologies and Construction Court, as they deal with these types of matter. It was pretty clear that Recorder Coleman, Had a limited grasp of IT matters, and even of the laws that apply - we stated that it was required for notice to withhold payment is required under section 111 of the TCC act, to which her replied that there was no such law or act! Needless to say GTWCMT will not recognise the judgement made by Recorder Coleman in this matter as it is clear that the judge did not have a understanding of the matter, law and in any case, the case should have been refered to the technologies court and not by the civil court. The battle GTWCMT will be bringing an apeal to the courts this month to over turn the judgement made by Recoder coleman. this is a Long taks and not an easy or simple thing to carryout. but as the evidence found in the trial, only goes to provide GTWCMT with the fact of the case and the claim which was found valid. |
| Price rise - Wedding Photography by Rory Witham Wedding Photography By Rory Witham has had to raise the prices on the wedding photography services, anounced in the Update page of the site, its clear that for many years the prices have been lower than most other photographers opperating in the area. Rory also admits that some of the packages that have been sold have been supplied at a loss. The aim of the site is to offer a low cost wedding photography service that everyone could afford, but with the economic crunch and the ever rising costs, it was impossible to offer the photography services any longer at those rates. With the advent of Elegance wedding Photography which is supplied under the National Photographer business, a price check was carried out on both of the businesses and it was found that Wedding Photography By Rory Witham was around Half the price of like for like photographers. It was also noted that some of the photographers whom Rory had trained were charging more than his service. |

| Project EPV EPV is an electirc propelled vehile. We have been looking up lots of alternatives to the current trend to Hybird cars as they still use fuel, and normal battery cars/bikes have a short range. We are currently looking at 4 types of power units, but the aim is to power the transport using something like a overunity type power system to give the transport more range in between charges. At this time we are having issues with finding the battery and generator source and primary power unit followed by the master drive. which as you should be aware must relate to the performance and life span of the charge. One of the first projects would be a motorcycle system and these would be quite simple, but there is consideration for battery size and weight as well as space. We have been looking at this bike and a few other home made projects, for whats best. We are still in the R&D stage of the bike and hope to have the first proto type by the end of the year. We will be approching motorcycle companies after the first trials have been completed for investers. Our Goals: Top speed of 70MPH. Range of 120 Miles Standard looking bike. Cool design. | Out of the ordinary - your bills I have seen and known a few things about science and engineering from over the years and there is one things that really gets my goat, thats fuel prices and media hyped price rises (coming from the psycology back ground and media background) so in an effort to push people back into the real world with real costs. GTWCMT will be venturing into some new projects this year to develop FREE ENGERY!! Free energy was developed by Tessla  while it dosent look safe it is.. but thats not the point Im making.. you see tesla was killed as his inventions and discovery meant that people could stick a pole in the air and get FREE ELECTRIC!!We at GTWCMT are going a slightly different way with this FREE ELECTRIC project in that we are going to use common science to produce energy that will provide power. Depending on the R&D costs, the actual production costs of each of these systems is low. in fact I hope that the costs should be around that of todays anual gas bill costs ( maybe double, so two years) and the machines should last about 5 years. So not to give to much away on how it works, it uses a few basics Chemical reaction ( non toxic, natural and safe) steam engine days technology and is basically something that you would have in your car and in your own home, its slightly different, but I bet its got your mind working?? We are in the R&D areas of the project and the first plans have been drawn up. | This years weddings so far Due to the duplicate of the sites, its a bit hard to tell where people are coming onto the sites. With the new wedding photography website over on the nationalphotographer website, things have only recently changed. There has been a shift in how photos are taken so that we can look better, if you have been to the original site then you can see in the galleries there is a large mix of photos and styles that our customers ask for. We dont really edit the photos and they are as is from the shoot and then they are played with for the sample albums thus giving a nice presentation. The weddings this year have been mixed, with the average spend being 389.00 (yes low priced I know) but for the mid range weddings, they have been great! gets couples, stunning, and the weddings have gone without fuss. We have only had issues with clients not reading the site with regards the digital negatives and everything has gone well.. Oddly, I have been giving lots away with the wedding packages, and it really has been nice to give things away.. but when people demand, I tend not to.. You get what you buy, and thats it. It really has put me off doing the wedding photography as not only am I one fo the cheapest photographers around, But I give lots of choice and do work as hard as possible. Im sure that you would like working for 580 per month on weddings?! :-0 it works out at around 4.50 an hour. With the new website on National photographer, I will be able to break even on the wedding photography. so I will be a happy bunny. Not alot of people realise that for most packages I was making a loss on them! |

| Postal Problems It is worth noting that the land base post coming to GTWCMT, Grafixphoto and Nationalphotographer, isnt really arriving here all of the time. This is due to the closure of the shop on the front of the building which the post man or woman thinks is a good place to deliever them. On a recent trip to the shop after arranging with the agent to be there, I managed to get mail that in some cases dates back till Feb 2007!!! lucky some of it wasnt important. but its the princable of it all. If people are sending in Mail, please either mark it '(rear of shop)' or suite 1 and that way the mail should arrive (but not for certain) |
| New bit of excitement Getting old isnt anyones idea of fun and for some of us, we still havent lived our childhood and teenages years.. well Im peter pan.. well thats my excuse anyway! lol Last year I took a look at powerkite ATB (all train boarding) its like a parachute and odd looking skate board.. well thats going to be some of the fun that I will be doing this year! cant wait! I have the suppliers, I know where to go, so its going to happen soon! Look out world here I come! |
| RGV 250 is going After a really bag year the RGV is going to a new home, someone is comming to take a look at 'her' today and I think that they will buy her. All thanks to a mess up at the DVLA I can no longer ride her anymore :-( Its a sad day!!! Still, Make a good price for the holiday fund and I will be buying some new fun toy's for madness and excitment.. should make for some nice pictures as well. See whats coming up.... |
| You think you work long hours?? Its another day of hard work at the office of GTWCMT, but thats just normal, 18 hours a day is quite normal working hours for us and when meeting with clients needs the days can even become longer. The longest shift must have been 22 hours where we provided continued services to a client to ensure that their business was working fully. WE take pride in all our work and it is important to us all here. Rory puts his name on the business and he reminds anyone who is slacking that they must meet the standards set (and they are very high). There is always something new going on, and new things to try as the business continues to grow and change. GTWCMT is no ordinary company as well, there are many different areas where services are provided, but many are hidden and not linked to from the groups main home portal page. GTWCMT is 4 companies, but with the range of the work we do, GTWCMT feels more like 200 companies rolled into one! |
| Review site We hope to be adding a review section to the website shortly. The idea is to share information with clients as we do see alot of venues and service providers and can tell who is good and who is bad and why. The review site will be all on its own and will refect a range of services, being as we do a considerable about of weddings each year, we can give our photographic clients a heads up on the different venues, catering , and florests etc. The same will apply to business advisors, banks, and all the other providers that we come in touch with. |
| Wedding photography Problems Last year there were two complaints (of sorts) with regards the wedding photography by Rory Witham. The complaints arose due to clients trying to select their own digital negatives when the package digital negatives are randomly selected. Why are they random? Simply we do not know what the shoot is going to go like and what the digital negatives will be like.. aka stunny photo's or rubbish (they are seldom rubbish) but a digital negative is worth around 45 Pounds, therefore cherry picking digital negative is worth around 4500 pounds to the average client. And for a package that dosent cover our costs, this is in our eyes unreasonable. When the digital negatives are randomly selected, you may get 60 photos out of 100 that are stunning, or you may get 20.. you should know that all we see if a file name and dont see what you are actually getting on the disc. Does the website say this? Yes, it is noted in the information and on the FAQ page of the website. The wedding photography Elegance service covers our costs and comes with a full digital negatives selection disc. This makes things really simple, as the catch for this is that you purchase a album and prints ( or album with prints) and the albums are at cost and packages all up together to give you a great album offer. If you now look at the wedding photography by rory witham website you can see that many of the packages now do not have digital negatives and also we have removed some of the slide shows to make the packages more cost effective for us to carryout. | The big list There is alot of things that is going to happen to the GTWCMT Group websites over the next few weeks, a revamp on the websites has already taken place for computer repairs.Please click to see ; this was carried out at the end of last year. Computer maintenance was also updated around the same time to give a simple interface to the rather large website that was in place.Please click to see.. The Psy4 computer systems website has had a recent revamp, but the site doesnt work paticulary well and we will be looking in to it. |
| New blog We are looking at the new server systems and software for the clients using the website. One of the first things that we have done in redevelop the home page, put up a new wedding photography site, added forums once again .
