Computers do not have to stop to have a virus, one virus may sit on your computer happly sending out your details and files without you knowing.
One key thing to remeber is that Anti Virus software and Anti Spyware software is different and they wont do the same thing.
Detect or not detecting a virus:
Computer anti virus software works at detecting a virus or not, its that simple, but its certainly not straight forward.
