Computer Run slow
Computer is very slow when working, how do you make your computer faster
Most modern computers are not slow and infact some older computers are not slow either. Computers tend to slow down because maintenance is not carried out. The other option is that you have a computer virus.
Computer is generally slow:
If you are sure that you havent got a virus you will need to preform some basic maintenance on it.
Defrag your hard drives and take off software that you no longer use.
If you have had your operating system on your computer for more than a year, then save your documents (you should already have a back up system in place) and wipe (format) your hard drive and re install window back on your computer.
If you dont have a back up you can send your computer to us for a reinstallation with a back up of your documents. We can hold back ups up to 2.5 TB Thats (2500 Gigabytes) of data from each single system, We can carry up to 4 TB if the matter is pressing.
Other areas you may wish to try if to fix registry faults, remove temp foldered, re allocate the MBR and registry files and then defrag the hard drives.
Some computer seam slower than they should be, we have found that mass produced computer often have some faults from when they were purchased, we can retune the system so that it opperates as it should or we can tune it to give you more performance.
Computer Virus:
If your computer has a virus, then you can view the abnormal activity in the system manager. this shoudl then tell you what you need to fix to remove the virus.
The systems manager can also show you if any programe is having faults so you know what needs to be fixed.
On the bottom of the systems manager page, you should see a list of processes, if this exceeds 36 processes, then you may have a virus or to many things running on your computer.

Slow solution:
Computer operating systems should be reeinstalled each year, you would read this in teh handbook and manual for your operating systems, It may even be in the EULA. As your computer ages, in a matter of weeks, hardware updates are required for your hardware. For example the BIOS on your computer will show its last update date or vesion number, much of the hardware in a computer has a 'flash rom' that can be updated, this normally makes the hardware work better or fixes issues that occure.
When updating your computer system
for example from Microsoft, other drivers are missing and the system is not correctly updated fully as it should be.
Each year, your computer should be wiped clean and then reinstalled with all the lastest drivers and flash data to your computer. you would not loss your data if you have it backed up correctly..(I'm guess that you dont) After the computer is reinstalled your should see a performance jump. It will be around 30%
If your computer is slow and you dont have a back up, don't worry. At GTWCT we can provide a full data backup and reinstallation to your computer so that you do not loss the data on the computer. We cannot back up software configurations as such, but if you have it downloaded we can back it up and put in back. typically we do not carry out the software installation over than of the operating system.
This is a fixed fee of £75.00 per computer. You will need your software licence number, and disc if you have one. We currently support systems without discs:

If your computer is working but you have lost your licence number we can recovery this number for the installation.
